Kindergarten Buddies:
Once a week, the fourth graders will be traveling to the
kindergarten room to work with a kindergartener. We will be focusing on reading buddies and extend that
into language and math games. Each week, we will be having a fourth grade group snack.
If parents could all donate a non-perishable, un-opened healthy snack for all the fourth graders to share.
If each family brings in a snack for 15 students, it should get us through the first semester. This
is a very special experience for the fourth graders and the kindergarteners.

4th Grade Organizers: or (Agendas)
The Elementary has yearly organizers for each grade this year. The
first organizer is free. If one is lost or stolen there will be a $5.00 charge for a new one.
I am requiring all students to bring them back daily to be checked. In the agenda at the beginning
of the week, each student is required to write a weekly goal (this could be a classroom or personal goal) and write their
spelling list in the agenda. There is a section for teacher comments. I will be writing
to parents in this section which keeps the lines of communication open between you and myself if there are any concerns, praises
or new events in the classroom. Please check these agendas daily because they will have all the students’
homework and important information that you will need to know.

Snack Time: We will be having snack time at mid-morning. Snacks
are meant to be an energy boost for maximum learning to take place. Snacks need to be brought from home
and they need to be healthy like: nuts, fruit, yogurt, or cheese and crackers. If the
student brings in junk food, they will be required to put it back in their bag and save it for lunch. If
this turns into a junk food break, we will discontinue snack for that student. Please send you son/daughter
to school with a water bottle. They may keep these on their desks at all times.
