Meet Mrs. Meghan Howard...
She is one of the few people on earth who loves bats! Mrs. Howard has been teaching
at Meadows Valley School for seven years. She attended Boise schools. She really enjoyed writing growing up and participated
in drama, choirs and band. She also played tennis in high school. Weight training is something she started in high school and still
does today. Last fall she started running and completed her first5K race this summer. She graduated from Boise High School in 1989. In
1993, Mrs. Howard earned her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the
College
of Idaho. She also has a degree in Natural Science.

Howard enjoys reading books like Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey, One
Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia
Marquez, East of Eden by John
Steinbeck, and anything written by Barbara Kingsolver and Jodi Piccoult. One of her favorite quotes is “Well-behaved women seldom make history”
by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich. Mrs. Howard’s
favorite activities include mountain biking, running, backpacking, kayaking, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, ORGANIZING, and exploring everything
with her children Angus and Violet! In her past adventures, she explored Baja Mexico by truck and lived in Bahamas for one
year. Mrs. Howard encourages her students by letting them know they have not yet become all they will be.” In
other words, if you follow Mrs. Howard’s example, the best is yet to come!
