Mrs. Luff’s Rules and Expectations…

Discipline:

In the classroom, I find it essential to set up firm guidelines for behavior.  Students will be given a warning if they are behaving in a way that disrupts the learning of others. If they continue to behave in the same manner the student will be required to have a discussion with the teacher about their behavior and solutions for correcting it.  If the student is asked to stop a third time, the student will be required to fill out a behavior report, and the parent will be notified either in writing, by phone call, or parent-teacher meeting.

Our school policy states there is No Tolerance for violence.  If a student is found being physically violent with another student they will be sent home and suspended immediately, NO EXCEPTIONS!  On their first offense, students will be suspended for one day without being able to make up the assignments.  On the second offense, students will be sent home for two days.  If the student is suspended a third time, the student will not be permitted back in to the school until his/her parent or guardian returns with them for a full day of school.  Please refer to the student handbook for more information.

School wide expectations of students can be found in the student handbook, along with consequences for violations.  Any other information not covered here can be found in the school handbook.
